Great options bad installation

The washer seems really good and I like all the options but the guys who installed it mixed up the water hoses and I didnt realize until I washed a delicate cycle and everything was hot and some things came out stained from color transfer. Obviously that is not an issue with the machine that was the installation but LG sent people that werent careful and didnt even follow the instructions in the manual for installation i.e. using a bucket of and testing the hoses to confirm the temperature and connecting the right lines to the right spots on the machine.

Bought this machine and within 30days there were issues. While this may be a one off - and perhaps this particular machine was a lemon - I have never had such a horrendous experience trying to get a company to do the right thing - meaning.....standing by their productInstead of replacing the manhine I had to waste countless hours dealing with their customer service people had to endure FIVE different service calls for them to attempt to fix the LEAK and in the end - after 13months I finally got them to agree to refunding me the purchase price of the machine. Which BTW - Im still waiting for - was promised two weeks ago.

would give this washer/LG customer service a 0 if I could. Do NOT purchase this washer or anything from LG. I have this washer and its not even two years old. Its literally pulling the threads out of clothes and tearing them apart. LG has come out 3x and cant fix it and keeps asking me to put more clothes in it to continue to get ruined Im talking hundreds of dollars of clothing ruined they are refusing to replace it. They keep giving me and the appliance company the run around and are just hoping I give up. It is also making the loudest alarm like sound when it runs and they wont fix that it either. I am on 2 months of no washer. They dont care and are very rude. Even the appliance people told them its not fixable and instead of replacing it they just refuse to answer emails or calls. Worst customer service ever. So frustrating. Big surprise the site wont let me upload photos/videos

Incredibly disappointed in this highly rated washing machine from LG. From the time we bought it it has been destroying clothes. We already had LG come out once and they replaced the entire drum but its still ruining clothes. Never seen anything like it. Addding to the frustration is that the only semi-negative comments we could find prior to purchasing it was that it wasnt very gentle and could be hard on clothing. Cant seem to find those reviews anymore. It has destroyed more than a dozen items of clothing so far.

Poor cleaning performance

The washer cleaning performance is very poor. The bleach dispenser damages clothing when it releases the bleach it does not dilute it before dumping into the tub. The water level agitation and spin functions are not capable of cleaning clothes. Deep wash helps but does not have enough control and eliminates many other functions. The strange pauses in agitation and spin cycles combined with very weak action does not clean the clothes. The large tub is nice but it is useless without the right amount of water or a working agitator.

I especially love that I can use my app to get alerts and see the progress. I called customer service once and they were great too. They helped me troubleshoot to find out how to get it working again. I was connected to the company for repair and they are also a joke. They keep canceling. I have a special needs adult and I need to wash every day. I had this washing machine for 6 weeks before it broke. It took probably 10 days for a warranty company to come out. The first company Frontier Tech Services were HORRIBLE and they NEVER answered the phone or returned phone calls. I had to start the warranty process over again and wait another week for the second company to come out. This gentleman was Awesome. He though had to order a new Motherboard and so I had to wait another 5 or 6 days for my machine to finally be repaired. 2 trips to laundromat waiting for a NEW machine to be repaired. LG warranty service needs to be better

We have had this machine since April. It has had a problem with the UE since we first used it. It will try to resolve the error itself and refill with water repeatedly. Today we are still trying to complete a load of wash so far it has been over six hours. We had a technician here two weeks ago and his fix was to move it away from our dryer. This has obviously not helped. We had and older LG machine which we were very happy with so that is why we bought this new machine. The frustration of trying to get this one load finished has us really upset. We tried to run a spin only cycle and it still keeps filling with water.

Weve had this machine since April 2024 and have had a constant problem with the the UE. It gets unbalanced with large loads small loads and anything in between. It sometimes takes a couple of hours to get one load done because we have to keep rearranging the clothes and then the machine refills with water and basically restarts the cycle. We had a service guy come today and because he couldnt duplicate the issue after testing one load he said it was fine and to call him if we run into a problem again. We are so frustrated with this situation but dont have any recourse. So sorry we bought this machine.

Ive had my LG washer for four months and all of a sudden there was a cycle that wouldnt work--online help gave suggestions and the customer service team seemed ready to send someone out if needed. Not to worry it seems I just needed to do a quick reset a lot like shutting down a computer and then booting it up again and everything was working fine. Im not a tech-savvy person at all and am in fact intimidated by all the modern equipment but this was easy straightforward and I knew the customer service folks were ready to help if I didnt get fast results.

Wish I hadnt bought this washer

I bought this machine less than 6 months ago and approximately 2 weeks ago it showed an IE error. I followed the diagnostic instructions and disconnected the supply hoses and removed the small filters and rinsed them out thoroughly. There was some grit that had been collected but not nearly enough to disrupt adequate water flow. Reconnected the hoses and started the machine again so that it could complete the cycle but when the time came to spin dry it once AGAIN showed an IE error. Had to handwring the towels causing a painful blister on my thumb. Having exhausted my repair skills I called Costco who then passed the repair order along to LG. Tomorrow morning will be two weeks and absolutely NO progress has been made to get this machine going again.

Nice features but not perfect

I got this new washer about a month ago as my old washer was always stopping due to being uneven and it was making horrible noises The good news is that this washer while louder than my old washer when it was working properly is not too loud and it hasnt tried to walk away This is my first washer with a glass lid. So as I am prone to complaining here are my complaints. I keep a plastic storage lid with felt feet on the glass so I can set light weight objects on the top of the washing machine while doing aquarium chores. Since I can see the laundry being washed sometimes there are items sticking above the water level that are not being washed. I open the lid and shove them down. When I do a standard wash it starts with ~55 minutes to go which is how long my old machine would wash. Then about 5 minutes later there are only 15 minutes left So it washes quickly. The rinse portion of the cycle always has the water still being full of soap so I dont think the clothes are adequately rinsed. Aside from those things the clothes seem okay. I have guinea pigs and their bedding looks filthy after washing both with this washer and the last. I put the cycle on Heavy Duty for those. I set up the app and it used to tell me when a load was done not something I really need but then it stopped doing that after a few weeks. I miss being able to create my own program like I did for the old washer for my guinea pigs. Good things - so far no overflows of water out of the laundry tub the machine uses very little water good except when items not covered and it really mixes those items up well. The old washer may have but I couldnt watch them one without the glass lid.

First of all I purchased this item in November of 2022. I am not happy with this purchased which I have relayed to a customer service person. My case # is: CNN240518245516. Its been about 3 weeks since I have heard from them regarding my case. If there is anything you can do Id really appreciate it.

Great energy and sensory features

Leaves black grease like streaks on the clothes. LG refuses to lend any assistance. Washer is brand new. Have never experienced anything like this before. Terrible customer service. Do not buy Would leave 0 stars if possible.

Out of the dark ages of washing

This replaced an 11 year old front loader. It is a very intelligent machine. It has cut the wash time in half saving both water and electricity. If you have the ThinQ app on your phone you can manage the wash and even customize wash cycles. The app will even tell you when to run a cleaning cycle. The washer can be Wi-Fi paired with a dryer and the washer will recommend the proper dryer settings based on what the washer sensed through its cycles. The users manual is available on the app and is much better there than the paper version. This was a highly rated washer and it hasnt disappointed. The biggest change going from the front loader to top load is the tub depth. If you are short you may need a step stool or grabber to get the wash from the bottom of the tun. Very quiet and well balanced. I highly recommend it.
